Bill Walsh

Position and Job Description: Director for International Outreach

How long have you been with DG? Since February of 1999.

Place of Birth: California (Grew up in Hudson, Wisconsin).

Family:
Wife, Cindi (married in 1984)
Son, Beau born in 1990
Daughter, Regan born in 1994

Some Favorite Dead Guys: Charles Spurgeon, Martin Luther, A.W. Tozer, John Flavel, J.S. Bach, Winston Churchill, John Adams, John Muir, W.A. Mozart, Robert E. Lee, Stephen Ambrose, Abraham Lincoln.

A Favorite Piper Quote: "And the most fundamental thing we can say about God is that he is sovereign. So that is where I begin. I begin at the bottom, the root, the foundation of all we cherish, all the grace, all the love, all the patience, all the faithfulness, all the forgiveness, all the security and hope and peace and joy. All these things rest on the deep and glorious sovereignty of God. If God is not sovereign, he is not God, and all our hope is dashed." (Sermon, January 30, 2000)

Most Influential DG Resource: The sermons on the web. Before I came to DG, my early exposure to Piper was in reading a sermon many mornings. God's Word through John Piper sustained me during an extended difficult time in my life. And through that, God eventually led me to DG.

Thoughts about living in Minneapolis and MN: It's great to be in the Twin Cities. I grew up not far from St. Paul. My family and I love it here. We are big fans of the parks and outdoors and love to visit the northern regions of Minnesota and Wisconsin. And of course, we also love being part of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Ministry & Community Involvement other than DG: I lead a missionary support team, serve on Bethlehem’s Global Diaconate task force overseeing the area of Disaster Response, and am an approved short-term missions team leader.

Family and Refreshment: I enjoy family times, collecting books, reading history & leadership, home maintenance, walking, hiking, and camping in the north woods, visiting national parks, international travel, cross-country skiing, classical music, and attending my kids' activities. Additionally I am an aspiring photographer. You can visit my web site at clearlyseen.org
