What do you do at Desiring God?

I serve the mission of Desiring God by providing leadership and operational oversight so that our customers are well served and those who attend our events are blessed and grow in their walk with the Lord.

How long have you been involved with DG?

I started by volunteering in 2003 at the National Conference. 2009 marked coming on staff at Desiring God.

Missions is not the ultimate goal of the church. Worship is. Missions exists because worship doesn’t. Worship is ultimate, not missions because God is ultimate, not man. When this age is over, and the countless millions of the redeemed fall on their faces before the throne of God, missions will be no more. It is a temporary necessity. But worship abides forever.

On living in Minnesota:

Is there any other place where the seasons are so distinct? I love to mow the lawn and smell the fresh cut grass, to rake piles of leaves and hear the crunch of leaves under foot, shovel snow and breath in the crisp freezing air, and to see the new growth of spring that seems to emerge forth from nothing. Minnesota provides a full array of the seasons that draws me in to worshipping God as Creator.

What do you enjoy most for refreshment?

I enjoy reading (especially biographies), ..history, classical music, listening to audio sermons, and camping with my wife in God’s beautiful outdoors. I am energized by being with people especially in the context of a small group.

I am an Elder, a Shepherd leader, and part of a missionary support team at Bethlehem Baptist Church
