What do you do at Desiring God?

Recruit, train, deploy and coordinate 50+ volunteers. Our purpose is to assist Desiring God’s directors and managers “to spread a passion for the supremacy of God in all things for the joy of all peoples through Jesus Christ by multiplying the writing and preaching ministry of John Piper.

How long have you been involved with DG?

I started working as a volunteer with DG in February 2003 and came on staff in December 2003.

  • multi-ethnic urban center
  • lakes, wooded areas and many parks in the city

All these contribute to the joy of living in Minnesota.

What do you enjoy most for refreshment?

  • Early morning prayer, devotional and bible reading/study
  • Playing scrabble with Alice several evenings a wee
  • Canoeing the St. Croix River near Marine on St. Croix
  • Vegetable/flower gardening with Alice and grandchildren
  • Read Mission biographies and classics

Ministry involvement other than DG:

  • Lead small bible study, discipleship groups
  • Short Term Mission Trips to Romania for leadership development and training since 1987
  • Co-lead Bethlehem’s Racial Harmony Roundtable
