Quest For Joy Sermon Series

In 1989, John Piper wrote the tract "Quest for Joy" (published by Desiring God and Good News Publishers), because telling people about God and sin and Jesus and faith is a burning priority for the church. No matter what part of our Christian commitment we focus on — love, obedience, joy, the glory of God, social justice, kingdom power — the Bible leads us from that focus to the urgency of evangelism. In this sermon series, John Piper unpacks the six truths of the tract, "Quest for Joy": 1) God created us for his glory; 2) Every human should live for God's glory; 3) All of us have failed to glorify God as we should; 4) All of us are the subject of God's just condemnation; 5) God sent his only Son Jesus to provide eternal life and joy; and 6) the benefits purchased by the death of Christ belong to those who repent and trust him.
