Jesus: A Perfect High Priest - Hebrews 7-8

The major problem in the world and in our lives is not our troubled marriages or our wayward children or our financial pressures or our failing health or our cultural degeneration. The main problem in the world is how to be reconciled to God so that we escape his terrifying wrath at the judgment. In this sermon set, John Piper argues that the biblical answer to this problem is priesthood. The Old Testament had priests and sacrifices and a temple. But now the reality— Jesus Christ—has come, and these shadows have passed away. We may now draw near, by grace, to our Eternal Savior, our High Priest, the Son of God, the mediator of a better covenant.
