The 2004 Bethlehem Conference for Pastors

Money is to be a means of making much of God—we are to use it in such a way that people know what our true Treasure is. The burden of the 2004 Bethlehem Conference for Pastors is not how to get people to give more, but how to get people into heaven. Jesus said that it is hard for “those who have possessions” to enter the kingdom (Luke 18:24-25); Paul said that the desire to be rich plunges people into “ruin and destruction” (1 Timothy 6:9). John Piper, Randy Alcorn, and others invite you to challenge your perception of money—to use money to magnify the infinite preciousness of Christ living and giving so radically that the world cannot help but ask about the hope that lives within us.
