We greatly value the trust you place in us. Please know that the personal information you provide us with will not be given to or shared with anyone outside of Desiring God unless you explicitly allow us to, or we believe that it is necessary to comply with the law, protect the safety of any person, or to address fraud, security or technical issues.

Our Mailing Lists. We do not sell, license, or share our mailing lists with other organizations. When you sign up for our mailing lists, we will only send you information having to do with Desiring God or, on a rare occasion, information on other organizations which we feel is directly in line with our mission and passion. However, any mailing regarding another organization will be handled directly by Desiring God.

Our Website. The personal information we collect about you on our website, desiringGod.org, is strictly limited to the information you provide us with when you purchase, contribute, register for a conference, email us, post comments, or sign up for a mailing list.

DG Network. The personal information we collect about you on the DG Network is strictly limited to the information you provide us with when you set up an account, post information to or otherwise use the features of the network. We also may keep copies of the email you send us. DGN, unlike the other aspects of our site, is designed to help you share information and interact with others throughout the world. Most of the information you provide to us via DGN is information you want to make public. This includes not only your profile, preferences and the content you put on DGN, but also your interactions with others and other content. The default settings of DGN are to make all of this information public and usable by others, including Desiring God. Your profile and content are searchable by many Web search engines and you should be careful about all information that you make available on DGN.

Online Contributions and Purchases. When you make a contribution or purchase from our website, the personal information you provide us with is protected using SSL encryption, which protects sensitive data transmissions from your computer to our website. With SSL encryption, the information you enter when you make a purchase is encrypted at your browser, then sent over the Internet in encrypted form, and finally de-encrypted when it reaches us at our server. As a visitor to our site, you should be able to see when the SSL encryption is active by the "padlock" icon at the bottom of your browser's window.

Usage Tracking. We track the way people use our site. The information we collect is not personally identifiable, and is targeted to things like how often our site is visited and the types of web browsers visitors are using. As part of this process, we place so-called "cookies" (small electronic id tags) on the hard drives of visitors. Cookies do not provide us with any personal information about you. You may choose to reject cookies and still use much of our entire site, although some aspects of our site may be disabled. If you refuse to accept cookies but still wish to order resources from us, please call us at 1-888-346-4700.

Children's Online Privacy. We never knowingly collect or maintain information on our website from visitors we know are under the age of 13.

Changes. We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most current version will always be posted at desiringGod.org/about/privacy-policy. By continuing to access or use any aspect of a Desiring God website or service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Privacy Policy.

Questions? If you have any questions about Desiring God's Privacy Policy or the way we collect and use information about you, please contact us.
