Last November we wrote a post about the Watters family and their testimony of God's sovereignty in the midst of cancer. Here is their CaringBridge entry from September 7:

Victor Manuel Watters passed into eternity earlier this morning at the age of 14 years. He ran a good race, and finished well. To God be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

The testimony of Victor's life is that of a young man who spread the fragrance of the knowledge of Christ everywhere he went. Last week, his mom shared this exchange between them:

Victor turned to me intently and said, “Mom, if I go … I mean soon … will you tell my family about God, about Jesus?” Then his eyes grew fierce as he clarified, “I mean really try?” And I promised as the tears rolled some more. Then we talked about making a video so that he could say what he wanted to them and others … and he asked if I would help him.…

It gives me great joy to announce our new Spanish website Niños Deseando a Dios and to introduce our first children’s Bible curriculum in Spanish, El ABC de Dios(The ABCs of God). The entire curriculum is available for electronic download.

This announcement is significant for a number of reasons. First, it is a tangible effort, we hope and pray, that will move us forward in our mission statement… “equipping the church to spread a passion for the Supremacy of God in all things, for the joy of ALL peoples, through Jesus Christ.” Translating our website and curriculum into Spanish is an initial step to reach the next generations of Spanish speakers “…so that they set their hope in God” (Psalm 78:7).
