Thabiti Anyabwile isn't new to our blog or our conferences. We've posted about his interviews on "holy hip hop," transracial adoption, and Islam. We've also mentioned his book that John Piper wrote the foreword to. And three years ago we heard him speak at our Pastors Conference about "The Glory of Pervasive Holiness in the Life of a Pastor."

But it seems like a good time to introduce him again, especially as he prepares to speak at our National Conference this Fall. This time his message is titled "Thinking for the Sake of Global Faithfulness: Confronting Islam with the Mind of Christ."

Thabiti Anyabwile is the senior pastor of First Baptist Church of Grand Cayman. He earned his B. A. and M. S. degrees in psychology from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC (Go Wolfpack!). Before moving to minister in the Caribbean, he served with Mark Dever at Capitol Hill Baptist Church in Washington, D.C.

He is married to Kristie and they have three children: Afiya, Eden, and Titus. As a native of Lexington, North Carolina, he has an affinity for Western-NC-BBQ (which should be distinguished from the Eastern-NC-BBQ that I grew up eating—note the serious differences).

Thabiti writes regularly at Pure Church as part of The Gospel Coalition blog crew. He has also authored several books,

and contributed to a few more,

His most recent work is Ephesians: God’s Big Plan for Christ’s New People.

To learn more about Thabiti, check out a tour of his study or his interview with C. J. Mahaney. To hear him this Fall, you can register now for our National Conference.
