Sunday night in Long Beach, California, at Resolved 2007, Pastor John asked how the truth that “God is the gospel” relates to

  1. the glory of God,
  2. the love of God,
  3. conversion,
  4. the gospel as it is usually preached rightly,
  5. being salt and light, and
  6. evangelism.

The phrase “God is the gospel” means that the highest, best, final, decisive good that makes the gospel the good news is the glory of God himself revealed in the face of Jesus Christ for our everlasting enjoyment.

John is scheduled to speak Monday morning around 11 a.m. under the banner “A Passion for God’s Supremacy and Compassion for Man’s Soul: Jonathan Edwards on the Unity of Motives in World Missions.”
