Sermons on The Resurrection of Christ
On Easter Sunday morning Jesus blew the lock off the prison of
death and gloom and returned to the gladness of God.
to meet your needs. He rose to meet your needs. He reigns to meet
your needs—and make you happy in him forever.
The greatest news in all the world is in order to make you happy and glorify Jesus, God raised him from the dead to reign forevermore.
The story of Easter doesn't end with a mangled shepherd lying dead
among three dead wolves.
If we are saved by Christ's death, what does his resurrection add?
Of all the great things that Easter means, it also means this: it is a mighty "I meant it!" behind Jesus' death.
Christ is alive and able to persuade you
that he is true and the greatest treasure in the universe.
Jesus' delight in dying and rising was to enable others to rise from the dead and enjoy his majesty forever.
He is risen! Trust him today. By his mercy he can forgive your sins. And by his sovereignty he can turn all things for your good.
Jesus will always be our shepherd and we will always get the incomparable joy of being his sheep.
Jesus is the new temple. Authentic worship is no longer attached to
any place. It is attached to Jesus.
Twenty centuries later, we can still see the truth of the Resurrection.
