Fiscal Year Ending June 2026

We want to say thank you to all of you who support this work. “Freely you have received, freely give.” This has been Desiring God’s philosophy of ministry for more than 30 years, and you have helped offset the cost of free for millions.

We built this website to give you glimpses into the impact of your giving — sermons and books, podcasts and articles, translations and technology. With God’s help and your support, we had nearly 100 million views and listens to our resources.

If you haven’t joined us yet, would you consider making a one-time or monthly commitment to help us freely distribute the truth we love?

If you are in the hands of the all-encompassing providence of God, it will always be well with your soul. So, get a Christ-exalting vision for your life, and go for it, in the total confidence that your Lord and Savior rules everything.

— John Piper

Look at
the Book

There is no book like the Bible, because in the Bible, we meet God. But we can’t see and savor him there unless someone teaches us how to read it for ourselves.

With Look at the Book, Pastor John takes us verse by verse to discover the glory in every line and page — and to teach us how to meet God in the Bible every day. You can check the library for a particular passage or dive into a series.

Articles

Our daily articles bring together a chorus of like-minded voices on a myriad of issues and needs, championing Christian Hedonistic theology and applying it to all of life.

In our Beatitudes series, Jesus invites us into the biblical vision for the good life. For now, our joy is embattled, bearing scars and carrying crosses, but this joy is strong enough to bear our pain.

Next
Generation
Vision

While we’re as committed as ever to the message and values at the heart of our ministry, a lot has changed in the world around us. Old spreading strategies won’t work like they once did.

Our vision is to aggressively spread great joy in a big God to the next generation. To do that, we’re pursuing two strategies: we plan to upgrade our technology and expand our distribution.

01

Upgrade
Technology

We want to reach the next generation with the same treasury, but in new ways. We aim to upgrade our library of 17,000+ trusted, biblical resources to a personalized, AI-powered experience that guides people toward deeper growth and greater joy.

  • 1.1

    AI-Powered Platform

We want to shift our website from a one-size-fits-all archive to a more personalized, AI-powered experience. We aim to put the right resource in front of the right person at the right time.

  • 1.2

    Video Studio

The rising generation lives on video feeds. That means the text-heavy strategies of yesterday won’t reach them in the same way today. We plan to invest in more video-first resources as both front doors and pathways into our treasury of biblical teaching.

  • 1.3

    Multilingual Gateway

We plan to make more of our translated content available online, focusing on the most strategic languages — Spanish, French, Chinese, Arabic, and more. We aim to build a centralized, accessible language experience on our new platform in the top 5–7 most-spoken languages.

02

Expand
Distribution

This next-generation technology will be supported and spread by an emerging network of like-minded pastors, translators, and campus leaders. Going forward, we aim to be both digitally aggressive and unusually human.

  • 2.1

    Global

Over the last several years, we have built a network of 80 trusted publishing partners in 51 languages to distribute our God-centered resources around the world. The fruitfulness of these partnerships over years has now inspired new unusually human networks for pastors and campus leaders.

  • 2.2

    Pastor

We are building a network of local church pastors that supports these leaders with encouragement, equipping, and resources for their churches. We also plan to launch a new theological journal wrestling with the important questions and challenges pastors face in our day.

  • 2.3

    Campus

We know that the most effective way to reach students is to partner with leaders who are already on the ground discipling students. Therefore, we’re assembling a growing network of like-minded campus ministry leaders. We will also build out digital pathways for students to regularly access Desiring God resources.

Budget
& Impact

God gave us nearly 100 million views and listens across our resources — Ask Pastor John, Look at the Book, Solid Joys, Light + Truth, daily articles. This year we also crested 1 million subscribers on YouTube. We’re a strategically small team — just 34 people — so that we’re able to pour our budget into reaching millions each year.

Desiring God:
34 + You

When the apostle writes to his friends, he thanks God with persistent and overflowing joy “because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now” (Philippians 1:5). On behalf of our team, we thank God regularly, and with great joy, for all who would join us in this precious work.

The Cost
of Free

While we work to expand our human networks and upgrade our technology, we remain resolved to spread our teaching far and wide, to young and old, pastors and students, free of charge. But there’s a cost of free.

We look to God to provide the money we need. In all of this, we want your heart more than your treasure. Jesus says, “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Matthew 6:21). If your heart is with us, would you consider participating in one of these three ways?
