Location in Worship

Sometimes it matters where you sit
on Sunday morning
when the worship songs
are sung.

We found the perfect place today,
where heaven touched the earth,
and earth the face of heaven.

I thought my heart would break
with joy,
as we stood there
behind her,
so newly widowed,
solitary,
with her bent and bony arm
lifted
in the air.
