Permission to Translate Piper Resources
We thank God for the growing number of people who want to translate resources from desiringGod.org so that their people can experience the Christ-exalting, soul-satisfying truths preached and taught by Pastor Piper.
Translation is critical to our International Outreach mission. Our strategy is to rely on individual translators to help spread Piper sermons, articles, and tracts. We are eager to encourage and facilitate this.
Therefore, you have our permission and blessing to translate resources for posting on your website and for spreading among your family, friends, acquaintances, church, and ministry, provided that you:
- Translate the whole resource or make it clear it is an excerpt.
- Include: "Copyright [you fill in the year] John Piper. Used by permission. www.desiringGod.org"
- Do not charge for the copies you are distributing.
If you would like your translation to be posted at desiringGod.org, please submit it with an "Application to Translate a Piper Resource." We will review your application and translation and respond to you as soon as we can.
We strongly encourage you to submit your translation to us so that people around the world will have access to it. You will be helping us to expand the quantity of translated resources freely available from DG.
NOTE: This permission policy does not apply to book translations, which require written permission from the publisher that hold the copyright.
