The Vision of International Outreach

We have started a new department within Desiring God called International Outreach. Our goal is to organize and equip those who are already using our materials internationally. We also hope to continually encourage more believers—no matter where they are in the world—to spread the good news that God is glorified by our satisfaction in him. We believe that, for us, this grass-roots approach to spreading resources internationally will be the most effective way to help saints outside the U.S. in the work they are already doing for the cause of Christ.

Our office receives a steady stream of reports from around the world. It has been humbling to learn about the work already underway by full-time missionaries, church-planters, indigenous pastors and teachers, and others. Many have been working to spread a passion for the supremacy of God for years.

One missionary named Scott wrote in:

"I am a full-time [missions] worker in India and having access to all of the [free] resources on your website has been absolutely invaluable. You exemplify to [us] the circumstances in Acts--when brothers were in need, others gave.... Thank you...for making so much available to people around the world."

This testimony is a wonderful example of the kind of letters we receive from friends all over the world. Scott downloads messages from DG’s website and has "...printed off multiple books and used the indexes and sermon transcripts in [his] preparation for training nationals." This is one of the many ways that we want to collaborate with “spreaders” to expand access to our resources.

Please pray with us that God will provide the creativity, time, people, and financial resources we need to keep on building. Join us in our effort to expand access to Piper resources so that international workers are spiritually nourished and are, in turn, teaching and mobilizing others across the globe.
