Your ministry has been an enormous blessing in my life. Your message at the One Day gathering this past weekend was no exception. I absolutely embrace your call to glory in the cross alone. And once again, I was challenged to not grow comfortable in this lavish American lifestyle, but to press on to make every moment of my life count for the glory of God. Thanks for your message.

I just finished reading chapter 6 of Desiring God. I had to write you now and let you know how your book has already impacted me…The first time I ever heard your message was at One Day. Since then, your words have been burning in my heart…Every chapter has opened my eyes more and more. I have never pondered the need for me to pursue my greatest joy. Your book is revolutionary for me. My life is forever changed… I am a Bible major with the goal of church planting. Your words have changed the future of the church I will one day plant. The goal of my ministry from now until the day I die will be for the supremacy of God in all things. The church I one day plant will know what it means to be a Christian Hedonist! Thank you again for your passion! Find comfort in knowing that at least one set of ears on that field in Memphis was touched by your message and excepts your challenge to 'Boast only in the cross.' But I have I feeling that my ears are not the only ones that are still burning.

I was in attendance at the Orlando Ligonier's Conference in June. I bought a copy of your book Desiring God. God has used you to say things I was sort of on the verge of grasping but would never have grasped except that you had put it together. I am 50 years old and God has now given me a desire to be a Christian Hedonist. God has used your book to kindle an entire new level of walk with God because of a new level of desiring God.

... Oneday [Conference] was my first exposure to Dr. Piper's teaching and it will certainly not be the last. When he told my generation not to buy the American dream, I wanted to stand up and applaud. God has so much more for us than mere wealth.

I want to thank you again for an exceptional conference. There are those moments when living here [in a remote location] gets overwhelming, not so much because of the task, but because of the isolation. I have been to other conferences, but none have refreshed the spirit like this pastors' conference. I don't think I could even identify a particular aspect of the conference through which God ministered to me. It would be more accurate, I think, to simply note EVERY aspect of the conference from parking to pastors as "soul food" for satisfying the weary heart.
