I am a seminary student... it is a real encouragement to see the impact that DG, and more specifically, the ministry of John Piper has had on this campus. All of the professors that I talk to say that John Piper has been one of THE most influential writers and preachers in their lives, as he has been for me. What is so amazing about the impact that his ministry has is not just the depth of it, but the breadth of his influence. Ethics professors, missions professors, preaching professors, and of course theology professors are all affected by his teaching. I am personally thankful for his ministry, but above all I am thankful for the God who Pastor John constantly and relentlessly points me to. John Piper has been a pastor to me for the past few years and has influenced my life more than anyone else. I thank God for DG and can't wait to come to the pastor's conference in February!

In the last few years, God has mightily used Dr. Piper's teaching to awaken me to the life of a Christian Hedonist…Your policies concerning reproduction and distribution (along with the whatever-you-can-afford policy) are equally encouraging and convincing that your treasure is Christ, not money…God is using Dr. Piper to raise up many God-besotted college students who will say, "Who cares if I die before 30, if Jesus is at the other end of the sword.

I am nineteen years old and I just graduated from high school. I thank the Lord for the ministry of John Piper and the Desiring God organization. The Lord has used you to help me realize that God jealously wants to be my first passion and delight, and that in order for that to happen I must humbly come to him and ask him to turn me into a creature that fervently enjoys him. Because of the way that the Lord has changed my walk with Him through this truth, I have been directing all of my Christian friends to your ministry. I praise the Lord for you. DG has been life changing for me as a women's Bible study leader in my church. It has given me clarity in understanding God-centeredness as opposed to the rampant man-centered teaching that many Christians have. I have a long way to go in my understanding, but I am so grateful for your ministry and am truly in awe of how God has anointed John Piper in his teaching ministry.

We were so encouraged to find your children's curriculum to be as we had expected God-honoring and (Christian) man-satisfying. Another aspect that we like about this curriculum is that it requires the teachers to be in the Word and first assume the role of the learner. This is so refreshing a change from the ready-made lessons that promise blatantly a painless and sweatless preparation and encourage the teachers of the youth of our churches to perpetuate devotion devoid of devotion.

I want to encourage you that your ministry is bearing fruit outside of Bethlehem Baptist and as far as your brothers and sisters to your north, Canada. I have had a fair amount of dealings with DG and am very impressed with your sincerity to glorify God. Not just in the materials you sell. I mean also in the people I have spoken with. I have dealings with a fair number of other over-the-phone mail-order ministries. You exceed them all in friendliness, helpfulness, integrity and sincerity. That speaks volumes in a world of plastic, fickle Christianity. DG appears to be much bigger than just a business (a distributor of tapes and books), but a God-blessed ministry promoting the sovereign glory of God as the richest treasure for the satisfaction of man.
