Why an All-Church Survey?

Within a few days you will receive in the mail an all-church survey with a return envelope. I urge you to take five minutes to fill it out and return it to the church.

It has been composed under the direction of the Long Range Planning Committee. Part of it is aimed at providing information about the composition of our congregation. Another part is aimed at discerning how the Lord might be leading us with regard to our growth options. For example:

Assuming growth continues over the next several years, should we invest only in the upkeep of the present buildings and then multiply services and Sunday School times? Should we invest in more educational space? Should we invest in a larger sanctuary?

After the results are gathered, we will share them with you and call some special meetings for discussion and prayer.

In the meantime, the LRPC is making some exciting recommendations to the Council of Deacons which will provide some short-term relief of the crowding we anticipate in the fall. You will hear about these as soon as the Deacons take actions.

I have been very encouraged recently to hear accounts of our people sharing the gospel with unbelieving family members and colleagues. This is what I am praying for in a new way—and that the Lord might use all of our worship services as occasions to exert his regenerating power!

Please return the survey quickly!

For the LRPC,

Pastor John
