Hold On: Do Not Grow Weary in Fighting Lust

How long do we need to cling to God in our fight against sexual sin? In this lab, John Piper answers by showing us that we must hold on for dear life as long as it takes for it to stop harassing us.

Some questions to ask as you read and study:

  1. When was the last time you felt weary in your fight against sin? What made you feel so weak? What helped strengthen you?
  2. Watch the lab. What are you to hold onto as you resist lust? What must we not grow weary of in Hebrews 12:1–2 and Galatians 6:9?
  3. Why do you think we often fail to hold on for as long as we need to? What can you do this week when you start to feel like you are going to let go?
